Defense Theory Emerges in Haywood Case Over Orchard Pay

In Boise on June 8 the Haywood trial resumed with Harry Orchard under cross examination. Tornado Toll Across Illinois Indiana and Kentucky

Dispatches report severe storms with multiple tornadoes across Illinois Indiana and Kentucky causing loss of life and extensive property damage. New Minden Illinois killed four and injured many as Gradyville Kentucky and York Illinois suffered deaths and destroyed homes. DuQuoin Illinois also hit with no fatalities reported. Gradyville later confirms five bodies recovered and twenty one missing.

Fred Coleman announces Nat Reiss Carnival in Pocatello for three days starting June 13 under the Eagles. The one ring circus features Madame Wanda with coach dogs, McDaniels aerial act, Dixieland show, glass blowers, a baby incubator display, The Escape from Sing Sing, and Red Dome. German man confesses to murder of mother-in-law in Baden

Karl Hall confessed to killing his mother-in-law Frau Molitor in Baden Baden last November. His wife then died by suicide in a Swiss lake after the arrest. The case drew attention in Germany, England and the United States. Hall had lived in Washington, D. C., and taught Roman law at George Washington University.
