Germans push toward Marne as Soissons falls to raids

In France the German advance presses toward the Marne with rapid gains north of the Aisne. Soissons and surrounding areas including Crecy au Mont Juvigny and Cuffies are reported captured, with 35 000 plus prisoners. Allied defenses retreat cautiously while reserves mass for a counter.

Yanks Bombarded at Cantigny in Major Allied Action

The casualty list shows sixty names with fifteen killed in action, six died of wounds, eleven from accident, four from disease and fifteen wounded severely.
