Washington dispatch reports the Interior Secretary yesterday recommended a $100,000 appropriation to complete land purchase for a storage system to irrigate Indian owned and ceded lands of the Fort Hall Indian Reservation in Bannock County Idaho.
The piece notes a new $100,000 appropriation supplementing $350,000 already allotted for acquiring land along the Little and Big Blackfoot rivers. A mine disaster at the Fremont shaft in Drytown California resulted in eleven deaths. Fire broke out again and workers are sealing the shaft while steam and water are pumped in. Recovery of any bodies is not expected for several days.
County Coroner Dr W A Howard reports Charles Evans remains in poor condition after shooting victim Bob Jackson in McCammon. Evans removed the bullet with a pocket knife during a fugitive period and faces murder in the first degree charges as County Attorney Gray prepares information.

Berlin reports the war minister announced in the Reichstag that the emperor ordered a suspension in the court of honor proceedings against General Count Wilhelm Von Hohenau and Major Count Johannes Lynart. North Yakima Washington December 4 The jury in the case of Joseph Flannery charged with murdering his wife at Toppenish last May returned a verdict of murder in the first degree.
The house committee on banking and currency met today for the first time since reorganization. Chairman Fowler said no financial bill was in preparation. The committee authorized Fowler to appoint a five member sub committee to draft a currency bill addressing the current financial situation.
