A Burlington Sam Houston Zephyr derailed five miles south of Corsicana Texas after hitting a broken rail injuring about 53. Sheriff Castles said the last three cars left the track and plunged into a ten foot ditch. Emmitt Holman of Dallas was trapped for over an hour before being freed by sheriff and patrolman using car jacks.
