Two Big Mines in Pioche Nevada Show Rich Veins
Ernest H. Godbe, manager of the Prince and Ohio Kentucky mines, reports first rate vein expansion in Pioche. The Prince vein widens from 100 to 250 feet with ore nearly along the incline at 100 feet and again at 330 feet in shale. Ore carries high sil ver and lead values, with expectations of 1000 to 2000 ounces silver per ton in the shale streak. The Susan Duster ore body also shows 15 to 20 ounces silver per ton with 8 percent lead and 20 percent zinc and $2.50 gold. Officials foresee enormous tonnage and potential for one of the West’s largest mines.

Searchlight Sees First Lincoln County City Election

Wm Kane Dies At Panaca
Wm Kane died at Panaca Thursday last after being in Pioche for some time in a nearly helpless condition. Officers sent him to relatives for proper attention. Kane was raised in Panaca and his father John Kane once served as Lincoln County sheriff during Pioche’s rough period, earning a reputation as a brave and fearless officer respected by locals.

Pollock Jumps His Bail in Liquor Case
