Terminal Point Decided Searchlight

The final settlement favoring Terminal Townsite Company led by Fred J. Abbott secures the depot and freight yards for the Santa Fe line, triggering rapid town growth around Terminal. Samuel Doll president of the Southern Nevada Mining and Reduction Company arrived by private conveyance. He refused to disclose property details until after the company's director's meeting this month. Doll was accompanied by T. J. Montgomery, the company’s general manager. Air drills at the Prince mine are delivering excellent results and sinking is progressing rapidly.

George Coxe Secures Bond on the Gypsy

George Coxe takes control of the Gypsy Group near Stampede Gap, adjoining Manhattan’s Iron Mines in Pioche. The three full claims and a fraction, owned by J F Roeder J A Nesbitt of Pioche and Hans Olsen of Caliente, have been developed since Robert Flinn’s era. Coxe represents Louisiana purchasers. development to resume after incorporation with a 35000 price and large stock slide. Also negotiating Wird and Louise Copper Mines in Blind Mountain District. Kang praises mineral prospects and promises capital interest.

Hoist Arrives For Boss Mine

A gasoline hoist, consigned to the Boston-Pieche mining Company, will be installed on the Boss claim east of town to assist sinking the shaft which is within a few feet of the 200 mark. The double compartment hoist provides a secure working shaft for years and bank houses and a boarding house now serve the camp, signaling a busy period ahead.

Thomas and partners Chester Cook G W Getchel and James Healy, reports surface assays of 3.5 foot ledges yielding 26 to 81 ounces silver and 25 to 90 percent lead with small gold values. The group plans extensive development and bets on shipping ore from initial work.

Diamond Drill Is Ordered for Nevada and Georgia Guide

D. C. Mahedy oversees multiple properties including Georgia-Pioche where the shaft near town has reached about fifty feet. At Nevada-Des Moines the shaft is 200 feet deep with a station cut at that level for a diamond drill to be installed. The drill, already ordered, is expected soon and managers aim to drill over 1000 feet this summer to locate the best site for development and a potential new bonanza.

Doings at Mendah Mine Progress Report

At the Mendah mine under John R. Cook preparations are under way to begin shipping. When the railroad accepts freight at Bullionville station the operators will ship from the bonanza mine. The 40 horsepower Fairbanks Morse hoist is installed and Walter Getehell runs levels smoothly. Cleaning waste under the track near the 700 foot level is rushed and ore bins would be finished with more lumber. The mine shows strong ore bodies and claims better states than Missouri.

Preliminary Steps For Town Government Petition

Last evening at Probe Chamber of Commerce rooms a meeting gathered taxpayers to gauge sentiment on town government. M L Lee was named permanent chairman and Wm E Orr secretary. Judge John M Breeze presented the law and conditions, leading to a petitioning committee of Thompson, Orr, and Babbitt to collect signatures and present to the County Board.
