The Mendah Nevada Mining Company leads in district ore shipments to smelters as railroad freight access at Panaca improves. A car has left the mine and ongoing development uncovers rich bodies, with profits and dividends seen for stockholders as transportation gains support.
Mr Edward Hammond of Hammond and Fuller reports five car loads of lumber at Panaca terminal of Caliente and Pioche railroad. The firm plans a first class yard with redwood and Oregon pine and fast delivery for building needs. Mr McFadden of Los Angeles will run the line. Seguine and Sons build for Boston and Pioche Mining.
A Thursday night meeting at the courthouse to discuss the town ordinance proposition drew only a few attendees. Officials urge wider public interest, propose further sanitary, fire, and police regulations, and announce another meeting at 8 p m in the Thompson Building chamber of commerce.
