The Toledo Blade notes on a new Lima and Toledo traction bridge over the Maumee at Waterville. It required 400000 feet of lumber for forms and 800 piles twenty five feet long. The total weight upon completion is 28000 tons, with 16000 tons concrete and steel and 8000 tons earth forming a suspended shell above arches. Drainage near expansion joints handles rainwater.
