A Farmers Institute session held in Perrynburg last Saturday proved the event valuable to all classes. The inaugural meeting was planned and executed with a brilliant start to finish, though the report continues on the fourth page.
Hobart John Bench and John Swartz hosted Will Creps and family while Chas Swartz and family visited John Swartz and family. A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Stauffer and family. Frank J. Harvey visited Bowling Green. Ed Weseman and family visited his brother Henry Weseman at Rossford. For rent rooms and housekeeping offered by Mrs Many T Herman. Divorce actions include Cora V versus Charles Pither dismissed at defendant cost and injunction dissolved. Helen Powell sues for divorce from Harry O Powell on infidelity, cruelty, and neglect with attorney P Harrison. Toledo Stone & Glass Sand Co. vs Charles Patton et al settled. costs against Patton. Resignations and appointments: Thomas S Forrest resigns as trustee for G W and H M Sherman. funds to county clerk awaiting new trustee. M B Cook named administrator for Alice Helferman. Chas E Gundy appointed administrator for Christopher Gundy. appraisal order issued for Frederick Brinker estate. Chas Craine files final account as executor of Wm Craine estate.
The Exchange hotel fire on Monday forenoon narrowly avoided wider destruction. County Surveyor Elmer L. Spafford pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of false claims, resigned as county engineer, and faced a sentence including thirty days in jail and a $200 fine. The case for extortion and other indictments was noted, with defense arguing impartial juries and mercy given his past service.
Mrs Leiogruber of Weston hosted by James Beard and wife over Sunday. Misa Kate Grolle visits Toledo family of Herman Kotter. Mrs Ed Frosher with Chas Roe family in Perryxburg. Mrs Mary Chamberlain from Dunbridge with Geo De Verna family. Frank and wife Frank Wallace of Dunbridge bereaved by death of their three year old daughter after spinal illness. Funeral held Monday at 10 at Dowling church with interment in Dowling cemetery.

The Toledo Fostoria Findlay electric railway plans to reach the East Side this spring connecting with city lines. Built from Findlay through Fostoria to Pemberville, seventeen miles remain to city limits but only fifteen miles more are needed. The line may join the Lake Shore electric from Droullard's Corners and could reach near Lemoyne Latcha Millbury and Walbridge within easy walking distance.
John Gallier traveled to Columbus Monday to accept his Commission as Surveyor filling the vacancy caused by Elmer L. Spafford’s resignation. Gallier, long associated with the Surveyor’s office, is regarded as one of the county’s most competent officials and worthy of public support.

She suffered from consumption for years and her husband preceded her in death. Daughter of pioneer Washington township resident Mr Elliott. Funeral held from Toledo sister's home Saturday afternoon.
