Maumee Village Wins $8500 in Electric Road Damage Suit
A probate court jury awarded Maumee 8500 in damages against the Toledo Waterville and Southern Electric Railway Company for track laying in front of the Maumee cemetery. Village counsel L M Murphy said the verdict, large for the amount asked, reflects the burial grounds desecration and required restoration costs. Attorney Tracy for the road argued grounds were consecrated and urged a liberal verdict.

Electric Extension Contract Ties Toledo Railway to Findlay Line
The Toledo Bowling Green and Southern Railway Co now owns the Toledo Bowling Green and Fremont Had line and awarded William Norrie of Findlay the contract to grade the Mortimer to Trombley segment. W W Hampton of Plain township born May 29 1850 died June 12 1901 after a weeklong illness. He leaves a large family and was a respected Dunbridge citizen active in Odd Fellows. Funeral today at 1 pm in Doubridge church with interment at Union Hall cemetery.
