Denies Confession in Weston Murder Case

Dr. Alexander Green, who earlier confessed to killing Mrs. Ella Tippin of Weston and attempted suicide, pleaded not guilty at arraignment before Square C. R. Nearing. He waived examination, was sent to the grand jury without bail, and remained in jail as doctors and lawyers reported conflicting statements about his claim of innocence and the shooting.

New Company Controls Northern Ohio Telephone System

The Northern Ohio Telephone Company formally takes over Perrysburg Maumee and White Bone plants. The company’s officers include President W F Robison and General Manager R Hillarl, based in Perrysburg. One hundred plus subscribers are expected in three months as the Toledo and Perrysburg exchanges merge. The Bell long distance line remains connected, and Perrysburg subscribers can reach Toledo subscribers via both lines.

Big Pythian Meeting Honors Deceased Kenilworth Members

Kenilworth lodge K of P Weston held memorial services at the Pythian Castle with about 800 Pythians arriving, including Uniform Bank of Kenneth lodge, Captain Reeve in command, the Bowling Green Pythian band, and North Baltimore Knights. Ceremonies led by Dr. Spencer, followed by a cemetery procession with graves decorated with flowers. The lodge is among the strongest in the county with highly enthusiastic members.

Boxwell Patterson Commencement Marks 50 Years of District No 5 School

District No 6 Middleton Township held the Boxwell Patterson commencement on Saturday afternoon June 3 1905. It closed the first half century of the school and featured essays by graduates George J Shiple Cort Weidner and Edward Sehwind. John Schwind Sr director gave the class address and two pupils Irving Mittehler and Bertha Shiple qualified but were not notified in time.

Lime City High School Commencement Program

The annual Lime City High School commencement will be held Wednesday evening at the school site 14 1000. Miss Nettle Cross graduates with a list of Township Boxwell led pupils. The program features essays and orations by the graduates interspersed with instrumental music.
