Decoration Day Observed in Perrysburg with Flowers and Parade
Decoration day ceremonies in Perrysburg followed the printed program. The Flower committee arranged bouquets to be carried to cemeteries where soldiers’ graves were strewn with flowers. G A R members led by W O W and Knulls Martial bands marched in the forenoon with many schoolchildren bearing garlands. Reverend Dr. Love opened the cemetery service with a prayer and brief address. Veterans were taken to Fort Meigs to decorate the monument, and the afternoon Town Hall service featured music and an address.

The New Century Club gathered at Mrs. Dr. Reether's home on May 24 with current events briefed. Auto turned turtle in fatal Bradner crash
Albert Ebersole of Arcadia died in a Sunday morning wreck near Bradner after leaving Toledo with Willis Hakes and Rels to fetch a new Ford. Young Ebersole, 21, died under the burning car after it plunged off a road near the Hocking Valley crossing. Ries and Hakes were injured. Ries died later, and Hakes survived with burns. The accident is described as perhaps the county's worst.

Stray shot injures teen girl near Rossford
Viola Kistler age 17 daughter of express messenger John Kistler was struck by a stray shotgun blast while entering a chicken yard on Lime City road three miles from Rossford. She was rushed to East Side hospital with facial and hand injuries. doctors say the wound is serious but not life threatening. No suspect was found after a search of the woods behind the Kistler home.

Citizen Meeting Votes for Brick Pavement on Second St
On Monday evening May 20 twenty nine Second St residents met with acting chairman D K Hollenbeck and clerk Russell Williams to decide the pavement type. Voted 19 for brick and 10 for other pavements, the result to be submitted to the council. A three member committee Moser Munger Carter was sent to Muskegon to inspect a street paved with asphalt and macadam and report back.

Decoration Day baseball at Perrysburg featured a split doubleheader with Adrian, Michigan, Independents. Pete Charles pitched game one as Perrysburg built a 6 run rally late for a 11 to 4 win after a tight 1 to 1 tie through six innings. In game two Corbin started poorly, allowed a first inning score on a wild pitch, then settled to hold the Independents to seven innings with Perrysburg notching the victory.
