Pants theft arrest ends in jail term for suspect

Julius Maxall was arrested on a charge of breaking into Sylvester Johnson’s home and stealing pants and a clock. He wore six pairs of pants when found, prompting Judge Cook to conclude a pantaloons trust, sentencing him to ninety days in the county jail. Marshal Mills took him to Bowling Green. An affidavit to take him to an asylum was sworn after signs of insanity.

Baldwin Nominated For Circuit Judge In Toledo District

The Democratic circuit judge nomination in Toledo district selected Hon. Frank A. Baldwin of Wood county as candidate after a second ballot over Charles A. Thatcher. Stole a Watch by Two Local Boys

Two boys aged 14 and 11 faced trouble last Friday after entering Conrad Selling's home two miles east of town and stealing a watch and about ten dollars. Max Rader, a stunt artist from Toledo, brought them to town and they stayed at Timmer boarding house. The older boy retrieved the items, threw the watch in a field on the way back, and both were arrested after returning to their room. The father paid Selling for the stolen items and defended his son.

Perrysburg Baseball Loses 3–1 at Waterville

The Perrysburg nine fell 3 to 1 to Waterville in a hard fought game. Divine pitched well, allowing two hits and one walk, while Free man also pitched solidly for Perrysburg. Agricultural crops report shows broad state prospects

Agricultural report from Department correspondents notes wheat at 93 percent of normal, 6 percent damaged by joint worm, 1.7 million acres sown last fall, and 1.68 million acres for harvest. Corn area 3.006 million acres for 1910, 83 percent condition, with 9 percent cut worm and 2 percent grub damage. Oats at 104 percent and potatoes about 97 percent of 1909 area. timothy 78 percent of average.
