Caroline Sage obituary and historical clipping notes
Caroline Sage widow of Edward Sage died Sunday evening at her Prairie Depot home at nearly 82. Born in Stark County Ohio in 1828, she came to Wood County over fifty years ago. She leaves four children in Prairie Depot. Funeral held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the residence with Rev. Kulp officiating. burial in Prairie Depot cemetery. Also reprinted is a 1865 clipping from File-Closer about the 189th Ohio Infantry return and war details, including losses and officers.

Laymen Convention to Draw Large Ohio Gathering in Bowling Green
The Wood County Laymen's Missionary Movement Convention is set for March 16 in Bowling Green and is expected to be one of Ohio's largest county conventions. A banquet for hundreds will open the event at 6 20 P M on the first day. Chairman D W Pugh and Secretary D A Haylor report many replies from pastors to inquiries. Each church is urged to send delegates. the secretary will contact any missed churches. The committee is gratified by encouragement from across the country.

Corn Improvement Plan Discussed by Wood County Group

The Northern Division meet covers Williams, Defiance, Paulding, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Erie, Huron, Wood and Seneca counties and will be held at Mostorin High School Athletic Park. Tangid Death of William Digby A Wood County Farmer
William Digby a 65 year old farmer near Tontogany died Sunday at 2 pm from a fractured skull after being trampled by a horse in a Barn on Baker farm near his home. Digby recently announced as Republican candidate for Infirmary director of Wood county. Funeral held Wednesday at Tontogany cemetery.

Unwelcome Visitor Ends Death in Rising Sun Home
William Gates 22, day laborer of Rising Sun, died from head injuries after an alleged home visit to Samuel Huff. Huff, accused in defense of his wife and home, allegedly struck Gates with a stove poker during a confrontation. coroner’s inquest returns verdict that Gates died from head wounds inflicted by Huff on February 16. The report notes the location just over the Sandusky county line east of Rising Sun.

Farmers Institute closes in Perrysburg with praise
The last of Wood county winter farm institutes met at Perrysburg town hall Monday and Tuesday 1909 1910 praised as one of the most pleasant and educational sessions. Speakers included Prof A B Graham of Ohio State University and John Beggs and F J Miller. On February 16 1910 Rev Lowry joined Miss Mabel E Hatcher of Perrysburg and Mr George B Keith of Toledo in marriage with only family present. The bride wore cream attire, Edith Hatcher served as bridesmaid and Leo Nolan as best man. Afterward the couple planned a Toledo home at 240 Franklin Ave and a eastern trip before starting housekeeping.
