Bert Harding a Bowling Green banker was taken to a Toledo hospital weeks ago for an operation and has recovered enough to return home at the county seat. He may be allowed a brief downtown visit to his National Bank offices this week, though doctors plan no active work for several weeks. Friends expect a full recovery.
Court heard arguments on a motion for a new trial in the case of Edward M Fries against Free Press Publishing Co and officers. Judge Schofield overruled the motion. verdict awarding Fries 400 dollars and Bloom 300 and Helfrich 100 remains, with possible appeal to the circuit court. Also notes the judge's January term farewell visit and other motions. Additionally, a testimonial ad praises Electric Bitters for stomach trouble, liver and kidneys, with a 50 cent price guarantee at C. P Champney's.

In Judge Johnson s court at Toledo a jury found for defendants William H Morehouse and Dora D Heney in the Roscoe Phelps damages suit for 2500 a result of a July 1 2000 street corner accident in Perrysburg Phelps was standing when Mrs Henry s auto approached a heavier car then Morehouse testified he was not exceeding eight miles an hour The court directed a verdict absolving Morehouse and the jury also ruled for Mia Henry The ad at the end promotes Burdock Blood Bitters as a remedy for fatigue and liver issues.
Liquor question dominates Waterville politics as dry forces push for a March 1 vote after the town went dry by six votes two years ago. Wet interests lease the town’s largest hall to show free films on dry meeting nights while petitions circulate in Providence township for a February 23 decision. The tenth annual Washington Township Farmers Institute will convene at Tontogany city hall on Wednesday and Thursday in March.
