The Perryburg Township Board of Education held an important session to form a new school district No 16 with a Lime City site planned. The board elected teachers for the ensuing year, ordered clerk’s reports published, and established committees to discuss Workman law and tuition bills. A site committee and new frame schoolhouses were approved for districts 9 and the new No 16, with several transfers of pupils and staff finalized before adjourning to March.

Dedication at Dunbridge by Odd Fellows celebrates hall
The Dunbridge Odd Fellows lodge purchased the old school house, added a hall and banquet room. Grand Master B. Dryfus oversaw ceremonies with Philip Wetzel as Grand Marshal. Attendants included Walker, Gooder, Bush, and Sullivan. Choir directed by Mrs. Dr. Pope performed well. Middleton Lodge No. 786 has about 65 members and strong finances.
