Minnie H Snyder of Milbury petitions for divorce from Daniel H Snyder whom she married in 1807 claiming six year old daughter and cruel treatment. She says he has not worked in a year and she supported family by husking and fieldwork while he spent money on drink and beat her. She seeks custody of their daughter.
The twenty fourth annual Wood County farmers institute drew a crowded crowd at the county courthouse. Members discussed forming a farmers union to shield rural interests from labor and capital groups and critiqued Ohio state politics while urging reform and lower railroad rates amid strong county momentum.

Riley, nearly died from morphine tablets eaten thinking them candy after a sideboard mix up. a doctor saved her life.
