Ohio Farmers Week attendance tops last year at OSU
Hundreds of farmers from across Ohio and nine other states registered for the event at Ohio State University on February 5. The program drew 1445 registrants, a near doubling of last year, with Dean Price citing strong belief in the course value. A Chapel demonstration using thousands of bees illustrated safe honey handling for makers of honey, while over sixty five participants aged 65 and up, including men aged 81, 84, and 88, joined the student group.

Edward Dunbar Dies in Montana Prairie Accident
Edward Dunbar of Bowling Green died at Big Sandy Montana after his wagon broke down on a prairie trip to stake a claim. He endured four days unconscious from exposure before succumbing to hemorrhage of the brain. Interment planned in Perrysburg. he was forty five.

Munn Not Reappointed to State Tax Commission

County School Boards Hold Winter Meeting at Bowling Green
A Wood County School Board convention in Bowling Green on January 23 1915 voted to hold a follow up meeting February 17 1915 in the forenoon and afternoon sessions featured Round Table Topics on school sanitation teacher salaries and rural district supervision. Aaron VanEtten 68 was killed when struck by a T O C train near Pemberville while traveling to a pump station on a handcar and died instantly.

Great Storm Damage Strands Perrysburg Lines
The sleet storm damaged telephone and telegraph poles and miles of wire. Nearly all lines from Perrysburg to Toledo failed, many phones out, strikes delayed repairs, and managers worked day and night to restore service. Damaged Maumee lines caused fire risk, with lights briefly cut for safety. overall, residents faced many outages but safety notices limited risk.
