Charles R. Peck was elected President of the Board of Councilmen by unanimous vote of all members present. He will preside and, in the mayor's absence, keep the village fathers working humanely. For sale by Wm Comstock and Son.
The board sold fifty thousand dollars of road improvement bonds on Monday for five years at five percent. Hayes & Sons of Cleveland bid highest with a premium of $1,682 and will receive the bonds. Other bids ranged from $50,550 to $1,891, with several Cleveland Toledo and Cincinnati firms participating.
Toledo Bowling Green and Southern Traction notes rapid service improvement since introducing new cars. The fleet swap reduces baggage delays by using separate baggage cars, while the passenger cars prioritize speed and comfort.

Miss Belle Dunipace, a pioneer resident, died after a short illness at her brother W. W. Dunipace home near Scotch Ridge. Funeral at United Presbyterian Church Scotch Ridge, burial in Scotch Ridge cemetery. Born in Scotland she came to the United States over fifty years ago and was known as Aunt Belle. Survived by brother W. W. Dunipace sister Mrs L J Mair and nephew Robert Dunipace.
The Ginnivan Dramatic Company led by Frank McNarry will begin a run at Perrysburg Opera House starting Monday evening March 19. The troupe promises strong performances under the auspices of the W. O. W. band will play nightly from March 19 to 23.
Cora B Scott seeks a divorce from Geo W Scott, married Clyde July 12 1896, with no children. She claims failure to provide support, self support through other work, abuse and nagging for the past year, and asks restoration of maiden name Cora B Holbrook plus possession of household goods in North Baltimore.
Mrs Hannah Perrin died aged 85 at the county infirmary on Saturday from old age and heart trouble. She was buried Monday in the infirmary cemetery after long residence at Perrynburg and had lived there 21 years. She leaves relatives.
Bulletin notes a new canal packet service on the Grand Rapids to Waterville route. The Tauoch will carry 15 to 20 passengers, depart Grand Rapids around 7 to 7:10 am, reach Waterville by about 9 am, and depart Waterville at 5 to 5:30 pm returning to Grand Rapids by 7 to 7:20 pm. From Waterville passengers may travel to Toledo via traction Nine. The launch trip is described as novel and interesting.
Dowling and Lime City residents share Sunday visits and weekday calls in a flurry of family arrivals. Notables include Parker and Bruce visiting Dunbridge, DeVerna families with Chamberlin, Britten and Spilker households, and T. Tinney relatives in Lime City. Revival meetings grow in attendance.
