Perrysburg Electric Lights Spark New Town Power

Perrysburg's electric light plant now runs to the entire satisfaction of all parties. A two story powerhouse houses two dynamos for street and commercial lighting, supplied by Bissel & Co of Toledo. The Fort Wayne dynamo powers 1360 lights, the Warren alter puts out 600 incandescent lamps. The plant uses coal to fire boilers nightly and is run by Witzler and assistants. Water mains to the river and an artesian well with a 1200 barrel tank prevent outages. The system, built at about 110,000, is a home institution and aims to expand to domestic water and lawn irrigation services.
