The Elas Crmval Tatedo Poke plans a car nival in Toledo starting August with a grand display said to surpass any prior event. They secured vendors and promised quick relief attractions labeled humorous witrochians at the Bostock Foram Mighty Ala way Carnival.

A German woman who arrived in Perrysburg claiming kin to Schraven relatives may be sent back to Germany. She used the name Anna Katrina Willen Speke and was questioned by Rev. J. H. Kleekamp, who traced her to a native town in Germany. A letter purportedly from her husband said she left home unknowingly and has no local relatives here. She is cared for at the infirmary by Superintendent Farmer, may refuse repatriation, and authorities fear a difficult return if she resists. The Speck family here is reportedly investigating the case.

Asher Thuratla died at his home in Grand Rapids on a Wednesday at age 63. Born in Erle county Ohio he spent over 35 years in Wood county. A well known agriculturist he had retired in recent years. Thuratla married twice and leaves a widow and seven children from the second marriage. the first marriage produced two children S A Bacon and Azor Thurstin both residents of Grand Rapids. Funeral services were held at his late home on Friday.
A Champaign resident describes a year long hacking cough and fear of consumption. After trying many remedies and medical care, one bottle of Poley’s Honey and Tar reportedly relieved symptoms, with the writer noting they have not been troubled since.
A double wedding took place Thursday morning July 31, 1902 at St Rose of Lima Church. Ltav. J Tl Kieekamp officiated for Thoma Hara to Mary Elizabeth Hoffmann and Alfred J Boote to Augusta Hoffmann. After the ceremony the couples hosted a wedding breakfast and 200 guests attended a grand reception in Perrysburg and East Toledo.
The meeting attended by the Mayor and Clerk with most members, except Mr. Powell, authorized the Street Committee to buy crushed stone crosswalks and tile for the Louisiana Avenue and Sixth Street intersection. A petition by Philip Wetzel and others to establish Lower district No. 2 was laid on the table for 80 days awaiting hearing notices, with August 28 set for the hearing. The Clerk was to notify the railroad to refrain from encroaching on tracks within 10 days. The Street Committee also to weed lots and record labor costs, and Valentine Schwind was appointed to the Board of Health for two years.

Percy Swope 23 former Stony Ridge resident died in Seattle Washington last Thursday. Remains returned to Stony Ridge on Sunday for funeral in Mt Meigs Perrysburg beside his sisters. He went west last winter with his brother to work as a contractor. He fell ill with bowel inflammation early July and relapsed fatally. Funeral Tuesday July 20 1902 at home conducted by Rev John Born and Rev Spreng. Pallbearers were John A Swarts Albert Swarts A W Snyder Christ Snyder Herman Frees and George Altenberger. The satire community extends sympathy.
Mrs Whitaker and her granddaughter in Sadieville Kentucky are said to have recovered from chronic bronchial trouble and a severe whooping cough respectively by Dr King s New Discovery.
