Alabama Jurist Halts TVA Power Sale in Alabama

Federal Judge W J Grubb ruled the Tennessee Valley Authority cannot sell power in competition with private firms in Alabama granting a permanent injunction nullifying a contract between Alabama Power Company and the TVA. The decision also blocks 14 municipalities from taking TVA service. An appeal will be filed.
