Death of Col. F. F. Rempel Ends A Noted Logan Benefactor
The wealthy Logan resident Col. F. F. Rempel died Friday after collapsing at the court during the Rempel vs Hamblin bond case. He was a prolific builder, bank founder, and public benefactor who shaped Logan with 100 houses, a stage line, the Rempel Bank, and the Rempel Hotel. The will provisions leave the bank to Ferdie Rempel, with many farms and properties distributed among family members and associates to cover funeral and estate expenses. Funeral held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with broad attendance and honors.
