Methodist Hymnal Revision Committee Begins Work
A committee appointed by the last General Conference to revise the Methodist Episcopal hymn book has started in Cincinnati. It aims to select 400 of 1200 hymns for a new 600 hymn hymnal. Chairman is Rev. Samuel F. Upham of Madison New Jersey with members C M Stewart Evanston Ill secretary C M Cobern Denver R J Cooke Chattanooga Nutter Vermont W A Quayle Kansas City C W Smith Pittsburgh Prof Caleb Winchester Connecticut and M V Simpson Philadelphia.
