South Eastern Ohio Teachers Association meeting at Athens
The South Eastern Ohio Teachers Association held its meeting in Athens Ohio on Friday and Saturday November 26 and 27. Delegates from Gallia Meigs Perry Washington and other counties attended. The program included inaugural remarks by J M Morrison president elect and papers on discipline examinations and country schools. Gov. speakers and musicians entertained the large audience and a Logan meeting will follow with officers chosen for the next year.

Obituary of Alexander McCune Longtime Marion County Physician
Alexander McCune born December 28, 1806 in Alleghany County Pennsylvania. He studied medicine in 1832 in Guernsey County Ohio and practiced in Hebron New Salem Bremen Geneva and Marion Township until his death October 25 1892 at age 85 years nine months and 27 days. A master Mason and Methodist, he married three times producing nine children and numerous grandchildren. He lived a Christian life and his funeral was led by Rev. W. H. Wright.
