Wreck at Orbiston Destroys Hocking Valley Engine 65
A Branch line wreck near Orbiston last Friday destroyed engine 65 of the Hocking Valley railroad. Engineer Lee Smith and fireman Fred Tucker escaped with injuries after the crash into standing empties. three water tanks survived. The engine was hauled from the ditch and sent to repair shops for possible re use. Inspectors arrived within minutes to survey the scene.
