Only Man in Town farce delights Logan audience
The Christian Endeavor Society of the Presbyterian Church hosted a cream and cake sale in the church parlor. At eight o clock a short play The Only Young Man in Town featured Rob Wright and Robbin Rochester among others with Miss Lucy Rochester and Eva Harrington among the fiendish suitors. The event netted fifty dollars to support a piano for the Sunday School. Separate items note resolutions of respect for Cynthia Inboden and coverage of Maccabee Knights activities in Logan, Ohio.

In Memoriam for Prof M W Lovett at St Clair Springs
Obituary notes the death of Prof M W Lovett on March 26 1901 at St Clair Springs Ala aged 70 years six months and two days born Sept 14 1830 in Virginia. He taught widely in Alabama and Jefferson county, described as a good educator and husband father and neighbor. Remains interred at Springville Cemetery after services by Rev Emerson. He was married to Jennie Cresap.
