Orr former transit chief dies in New York

Alexander E. Orr former president of the New York Rapid Transit Commission and the New York Life Insurance Company died today in New York. A native of Ireland he came to the United States as a young man and built a career as a shipping clerk then as a partner at David Urré & Co. He was 62.
