Ohio lawmakers Norman A. Murdock and Gordon M. Scherer say at least 18 million dollars of unspent Department of Education allocations could be re appropriated for general education. Proposed distribution would be 200 dollars per classroom unit statewide, with passage tied to certainty funds will not be spent. The move follows calls for immediate study of state education funds and does not replace the Oak Hills mill levy.
