Wright Laid To Rest At Highland For Cpl Charles E Wright
Funeral services for Cpl Charles Edwin Wright known as Chubby killed in action at Iwo Jima February 22 1945 were held at Highland Methodist Church with Rev B E Wright and Judge Hugh J Wright officiating. Burial followed in Highland cemetery. He was born May 29 1924 in Highland son of Harry A and Ethel L Wright who survive with five brothers Harold Ralph Joe Owen Earl and one sister Mrs Roy Winegar. Wright served March 4 1943 and spent US duty before going overseas. He held a paratrooper certificate in the Marines and later joined the Fifth Division US Army. Burial duties by Gurney Wright. pallbearers and a Leesburg Post American Legion escort attended.

Rites for Mrs Catherine Fealy Held Saturday
Saturday morning services were conducted for Mrs Catherine Fealy at St Michael Church New Vienna by Rev Edwin Dittman. Burial followed at St Marys Cemetery Hillsboro with Lu kens Reynolds Funeral Home in charge. She died Thursday at Marian Nursing Home Columbus after long illness. Born September 22 1862 in Highland County she married William Fealy in 1895. She is survived by brother John McCabe Pomona California and nieces and nephews including Mary Derivan Columbus Agnes Jones Tenafly NJ Joseph Derivan Pittsburgh Hubert Derivan Middletown and John Derivan Charlestown West Virginia.

New Vienna Mothers Club donated supplies to the home economics department at New Vienna High School. Chair Mrs. Lawrence Terrell presented teacher Miss Martha Tofferson with shears towels a towel rack paper towels and sewing notions plus funds for table linens. Assisting were Mrs. Eugene Drake and Mrs. Orville Harner.

Farewell Dinner for Rev Enright Before Congo Mission
The New Vienna Methodist Church honors Rev Kenneth D Enright after six years of service with a Sunday May 19 covered dish dinner. He will receive his Bachelor of Divinity May 30 and be ordained as elder in Columbus. Dr Joseph Morton and Dr William G Myers of Ohio State University credited with developing radioactive cobalt as a cheaper cancer treatment substitute for radium. They produced cobalt needles, activated at Oak Ridge, after tests on Bikini and contacted Dr Paul Aebersold. Morton leads the X ray department.
