All-Pony Show At Hillsboro Plans Third Annual Event

The Southern Ohio All Pony Show returns to Hillsboro on Sunday July 16 at the fairgrounds. Sponsored by the Hillsboro Rotary Club for crippled and handi capped children, the program begins at 5 PM with a diverse slate of classes. Ponies from Southern Ohio and parts of Kentucky and Indiana are expected. the move to the fairgrounds increases seating capacity from Hoagland's Crossing.

New Teacher At Fairfield Succeeds Mrs Walters At Leesburg School

George Mohr, a 1950 Ohio State University graduate, was hired as commercial teacher at Fairfield High School by the Leesburg Highland Board of Education Monday night. He is married with one child and will move to Leesburg once a home is found, succeeding Mrs. Mildred Walters.

J B Fernow Dies Suddenly Highland County Republican Leader

Jess B Fernow 74 a Highland County Republican leader died suddenly at his home near Leesburg on Sunday morning after attending a social the night before. Born August 9 1874 he married Ida Davis in 1896 and leaves a widow a brother in Chicago and two children Leonard and Thelma Sy ford who preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Leesburg Friends Church with burial in Bridges Cemetery.
