Thomas Devers Pioneer Blacksmith Dies at 92
Thomas Devers 92 a longtime New Antioch resident and Civil War veteran died last Thursday at his home after a brief illness. He resided in New Antioch 62 years and left a widow Mrs Devers and six children. Funeral services were held Saturday at the New Antioch Church with Rev Hubert Snyder presiding. Burial followed in New Antioch cemetery.

Boy Receives Severe Jaw Injury From Horse Kick
Nine year old Guy Rhonemus of Memphis was knocked down by a young horse in the family barn Tuesday. The animal kicked him in the face, breaking his jaw in two places and causing facial lacerations. He received first aid at the scene, then was taken to Hale Hospital for treatment. Doctors expected a full recovery.
