Angus McLeod former under sheriff during Angus B McLeod era and longtime city resident died yesterday afternoon at his Los Angeles apartment the cause a heart attack. His body will be flown to Butte for burial expected Tuesday. He was born in Lake Linden Michigan 52 years ago and moved to Montana with his parents as a child.

Jens Fore, 52, married and father of nine, was found shot to death today at the Fairway farms where he worked. Fore had been ill for years and recently faced eviction of his cattle from grazing land slated for plowing. An envelope beside the body read Goodbye, everybody. Health gone. He shot himself in the mouth with a small caliber rifle near Frazer, where he had homesteaded years ago.

Riverside California May 6 UP a major air strength display will unfold across southern California over the next three weeks as 331 United States Army Air Corps planes take part in intricate maneuvers under Brigadier General Oscar Westover. The lineup includes 102 bombardment pursuit and long range reconnaissance aircraft from March Field Riverside and Rockwell San Diego with 229 more planes from army fields in the East South and Midwest joining the flights.
