Rhode Island Couple Killed in Montana Road Crash
An elderly Rhode Island couple, August G. Reibling, 69, and Heidi Reibling, 64 of Cranston, were killed in a head on collision with a pickup driven by Matt Joki near Red Lodge Montana. Joki and his son were hospitalized with non critical injuries. Authorities reported the Joki pickup crossed the center line on U S Highway 212 at 3 10 pm. The double fatality raised Montana 1965 traffic toll to 112, down from 117 a year earlier.

Two Missoula Teens Attacked by Bear Near Stevensville
Richard Lee Good 15 and David Presta 16, sophomores at Missoula Hellgate High School, were mauled by a brown grizzly not far from Stevensville in Burnt Fork. Fish and Game officials said the attack occurred between 9 and 10 p.m. as they camped. both youths suffered serious wounds but were reported in good condition in Hamilton. The boys defended themselves with knives and a flashlight aided by a nearby ranch house. The incident is under investigation.
