Daniel J. Riley aged 61 of 1153 W. Gold died Sunday in a local hospital. He owned Riley's Meat Market at 124 W. Park in Butte. Surviving are his wife Mary and children Edward Dan J Jr Betty Eleanor Peggy, all of Butte or San Francisco. Funeral arrangements were to be announced by Duggan Merrill Mortuary.

About 15 000 demonstrators marched on the guarded state capitol as James Meredith began a three week old march from Tougaloo College toward Jackson.
