Brigades listed for withdrawal from Vietnam by August
The United States announced that two Army brigades and a Marine regimental landing team will leave South Vietnam by the end of August, totaling about 13 000 to 14 500 combat troops. The plan also aims to bring total American withdrawals this summer to about 25 000, with support forces to follow. The 9th Division battalion will depart by mid July for deactivation in the United States, while the Marine regiment may head to Okinawa or Hawaii. Northwest pilots reach new contract after six hour walkout
Northwest Airlines and its 1600 pilots finalize a contract with top captain pay of 55000 for jumbo jet service, 12 percent captain raises and 1 percent for copilots. The deal retroactive to April 30, 1968 runs to July 1, 1971 and covers 15 new jets delivering next March with 350 plus seats.

VISTA Workers Sent to Boulder Area for Community Aid
