Gov Judge names Seattlean to head state department
Governor Tom Judge announced the appointment of a director of intergovernmental relations and plans to hire two new high level specialists for the Department of Planning and Economic Development. Frank McChesney of Seattle will become the new director July 1, joining a reshaped administration as the department seeks a research economist and an economic development specialist. McChesney, 27, is praised as an administrator and liaison with officials at the highest levels. He joins from the Economic Development Administration in Seattle where he has worked since 1966 after a career in Seattle area planning roles.
