Hijacking of Nepalese airliner nets $400000
Three armed men hijacked a Royal Nepal Airlines twin engine Otter aircraft carrying 15 passengers and a crew of three on a flight from Biratnagar to Katmandu. Five Cars Derailed In Butte Freight Incident
Five cars of a Milwaukee Road freight derailed Sunday at 4 30 p m at the Holmes Avenue crossing on Butte's southwest side. No injuries were reported. Investigators cited a switch issue or a thrown switch as likely causes. The derailed train involved three engines and five cars, four empty and one loaded with plasterboard. The train possibly consisted of 37 cars and traffic was halted briefly near Rowe Road before clearing by 6 30 p m.
