State Bird Specialist Bergeson Dies at 45
W R Bergeson a Montana state bird specialist and head of upland game bird work for the Fish and Game Department since 1944 died of a heart attack at his East Helena home. Born December 31 1909 in Chinook he earned a BS in biological science from Montana State University and worked on big game studies before heading upland game biology. He authored articles on ringneck pheasants and was a member of the Dillon Lodge AF and AM. Survived by his father a brother his widow Ruth and daughter Joanne. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery after funeral in Dillon.
