The Montana School of Mines will confer 33 degrees at the 55th commencement next Friday evening in the Library-Museum Building auditorium. Honorary degrees go to William W. Clawson and Curtis Laws Wilson, with several professional mining and science degrees awarded to Butte and other region students.

Miracle Ann Dies After Premature Birth At 80 Ounces
Miracle Ann, an 80 ounce premature baby, was pronounced dead Saturday for the second time in 30 hours. Doctors cited underdeveloped lungs as the probable cause after a brief revival at a funeral parlor and a later attempt at life support. Robert Lee Williams 19 died when two cars sideswiped and overturned in the 1300 block of West Park. Joseph Varelia 19 and John Pritchard 18 were seriously injured and in St. Ann Hospital.
