Fred P. Holbrook reports the Boy Scout drive shows growing popularity with 600 Butte residents contributing toward a $9,500 budget. Daily solicitors expect success as $3,000 remains to fund the 12 month program. Six weeks of summer camp begin July 6 to serve about 300 boys with improvements including new cots in cabins.
Judgment for foreclosure of mortgages on real property of the Independent Milk & Cream company was granted to Metals Bank & Trust by Judge William E. Carroll in district court yesterday. The action sought to satisfy a balance of 17567.97 and interest on a note for 20000. Henry P. Muntzer receiver for the creamery, Mary M. Muntzier, F. Ackerman and Dora E. Ackerman were defendants beside the creamery corporation. No defense was offered. Equipment and fixtures of the creamery had been sold at sheriff's sale.
Frank Moore and J L Lindsay were arrested yesterday afternoon by Officers Kinney and Calpin at Wiz Way Grocery on North Main. Clerks say they bought groceries and attempted to filch more. the men deny the charges.
Philo C. Hansen filed a petition for letters of administration as ancillary executor for Elmira Noyes Kelsey’s estate in probate court. Kelsey, a former Butte resident, died in Seattle August 9 leaving about 100000 dollars with 10000 in Butte real estate. the will is set for probate June 24. Ben C. Kelsey and Alice Noyes Murray approve the petition. Murray was bequeathed 16666 dollars.

He notes black tea dominates 80 percent, mostly from India, Ceylon and Java, with green teas from Japan. Hodgdon calls tea a universal, restorative pick me up and travels with Frank H. Cooney through western Montana.
Because no heirs presented claims the state will receive one gold watch $230 16 and various personal effects from the estate of the late Hugh O Neil Receipts were filed in the district court by Paul A Rooney county treasurer who will transfer the residue of the estate to the state treasurer Such action applies when no heir appears
Mrs. Paul Farlan of Anaconda, who recently underwent a major operation at St James Hospital, was reported last night by attendants to be greatly improved.

In Anaconda, Katherine C. Woehler filed a cross complaint against dentist William W. Woehler, alleging misconduct since 1917 and desertion. She seeks divorce, alimony, attorney fees, and court costs while claiming inadequate support for their 20 year old daughter.
Two international presidents and a state labor head spoke briefly at the Silver Bow Trades and Labor council meeting in Butte Tuesday night. James J. Rankin of the International Mine Mill and Smelter Workers union, James J. Brock of the International Laundry Workers union, and Stephen Ely of the Montana State Federation of Labor addressed the gathering on official business.
Silver Bow Post No 2 War Mothers is arranging a bridge tournament set for June 21 at the temple. A committee oversees events and other features for the fundraiser.
In Cambridge Massachusetts the court cleared Stuart K. Shatford of a non support charge linked to the last presidential election. The trial centered on Shatford backing Hoover while his wife supported Smith. The judge ruled him not guilty.
The Dreibelbeis Music company and Orton Brothers display copies of Beneath Montana Skies by Mel Knoyle and Bill Nokes two Butte youths. Windows in both stores show the song and orchestras statewide request the number.
Aiwanis bowling champions were awarded gold medals by coach Ben Hardin at the Finlen hotel during a weekly Kiwanis meeting. Members include Joe Halloran, Dr. H. A. Tash, Ed Olson, Dr. J. J. Kirby, and William Dee, with medals supported by the Y M C A and the American Bowling Congress. The club aims to raise 2500 for East Side Neighborhood House and plans a golf tourney with organizers Wahlberg, Champ, and Kirby. The Mines gym hosts the annual commencement tomorrow night.

Louis W Hill and party toured Butte en route to St Paul after coast testing for the Empire Builder schedule. The train is planned to cut seven hours from Chicago to the coast travel time. Hill noted favorable northwest banking and railroad conditions and bright crop outlook.
Mrs. W. N. Aylesworth, living at the U. S. hotel, fell yesterday at the summer home of her son in law and daughter Dr and Mrs C H Horst at the Nine Mile and severely injured her right arm.
Nomination of officers and initiation of a class of candidates opened a meeting of Surcmit Encampment No. 4 I O F at Fidelity hall. Officers will be elected June 18. Nominees include Orville Cusick high priest William Johns chief patriarch W N Waugh senior warden George Triggs William Rooke junior warden James Harris Jr scribe Dean Selfridge treasurer and James Harris Sr trustee.
Chicago painter Harriet Hoag Fabian brings a free exhibit to suite 920 at the New Hotel Finlen in Kalispell today through Saturday from 10 am to 10 pm. She plans Yellowstone and Glacier Parks studies this summer with assistance from Mrs. Lorenzo Cushing of Dillon.
Arthur Barsanti, a gulch rancher, sues the Noyes estate for 3057 damages claiming Canty’s lake dam failed to contain flood waters on Memorial Day. He alleges inadequate dam construction, poor maintenance, and no spillway to handle excess water. Barsanti is father of the boy who warned others with a "Paul Revere" chant during the flood.
Word reached Butte of the death of Mrs. Robert Williams of Sunnyside Utah mother of Mrs James Redmond of 11 West Platinum Street. She had visited Butte several times and was well known here. Mrs Redmond cannot attend the funeral in Sunnyside.
Col Wilbur F. Sanders circle No 17 Ladies of the Grand Army will convene this evening at Patriotic hall in the court house for their meeting.
