Trial opens in 2011 killing of Birdseye man Ford charged
In Lewis and Clark County the 2011 disappearance and homicide of John Michael Crites is being tried with Leon Ford charged with deliberate homicide and evidence tampering. Prosecutor Leo Gallagher outlined the case using a PowerPoint as the jury learned Ford arrived from Washington the day Crites vanished. Crites was last seen June 25 2011 and his remains were found in two locations including near MacDonald Pass and west of Elliston in 2012.
