A 26 year old Anaconda laborer Walter Lyndon Babcock was held by police and FBI in Coeur d Alene Idaho on kidnapping charges for forcing Gordon Willis Rickaby a 25 year old Anaconda taxi driver to drive at gunpoint from Anaconda through Missoula and into Coeur d Alene. Babcock admitted the act and was arrested after Rickaby telephoned police. He offered no resistance as officers disarmed him and jailed him in Kootenai county.
