Betty Lou Marbury a 10 year old from Brownsville Tenn lost her right hand in a forearm amputation to remove a malignant bone tumor on the third finger. The Baptist hospital chaplain Dr F P Loman described her as stoic and courageous and said her simple faith could be an example to the nation. Her parents Mr and Mrs Clay Marbury watched as she remained calm and smiled after surgery while praying for health.
