Robbers Free Bank Victims After Daylong Capture
In Marlin Texas two robbers who looted First State Bank of 410000 released five captives in a pasture nine miles south of Rogers Bell County. Bank vice president M W Bradshaw, bookkeeper Miss Andrew Peyton and porter Lee Humphreys were tied to trees along with two hunting youths. The captives were taken hostage by the pair after the vault robbery and later freed. Officers traced the fugitives to the pasture where the hostages were left untied at dusk.

Child Raced 1 400 Miles by Plane to Hospital
A 5 month old girl with hydrocephalus was flown 1 400 miles from Houston to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore for brain surgery evaluation.
