Missing Butte boys spark city wide search
Police seek Ronald and Kenneth Walsaner ages nine and seven who vanished Saturday after leaving 31744 East Mercury. Father Ray Walsaner reported them missing as the family just moved from Minnesota and police broadcast calls to eastern Montana cities. Ronald wore red plaid jacket and cap with bib overalls. Kenneth wore a black and white check jacket with bib overalls. The boys reportedly needed haircuts when they left home.

Sam Vasil Shoeshine Stand Operator Dies in Butte
Sam Vasil known as Shorty, longtime operator in the Metals bank building, died in a local hospital after a yearlong illness and a relapse. Greek-American community volunteers and blood donors gathered, he was a Greece native and member of the Order of Ahepa. Survived by nephew George Arespis of Butte. Body at Whites funeral home.
