In New England, the Boston and Maine and the New Haven would form core eastern blocks.
The Butte post office saw its greatest rush yesterday as hundreds queued at mailing windows. Officials say Friday’s 91,480 first class pieces set an all time mark while overall holiday mail totals for the week surpassed prior records. The post office will stay open to prevent backlog and aid Wednesday delivery.
