Schotte to represent Butte Chamber at Missoula road meeting
George B. Schotte will represent the Butte Chamber of Commerce at a United States Senate subcommittee meeting in Missoula about forest highways and road development. He will urge early completion of the Lewis and Clark Highway and support federal funds for forest roads in Beaverhead and Deer Lodge National Forests. The session was led by Larry Smith, with the chamber planning its annual meeting for Jan 16 at 6 30 PM.

Butte AMA Auxiliary Awards Nursing Loans
The Butte Auxiliary of the American Medical Association awarded loans to three nursing students, with amounts from 150 to 300 dollars. This brings total loans since 1952 to ten, all interest free and repayable three months after graduation.
