Schotte to represent Butte Chamber at Missoula road meeting

George B. Schotte will represent the Butte Chamber of Commerce at a United States Senate subcommittee meeting in Missoula about forest highways and road development. He will urge early completion of the Lewis and Clark Highway and support federal funds for forest roads in Beaverhead and Deer Lodge National Forests. The session was led by Larry Smith, with the chamber planning its annual meeting for Jan 16 at 6 30 PM.

Missionary Heimonen Family Speaking at Finnish Chapel

Butte AMA Auxiliary Awards Nursing Loans

The Butte Auxiliary of the American Medical Association awarded loans to three nursing students, with amounts from 150 to 300 dollars. This brings total loans since 1952 to ten, all interest free and repayable three months after graduation. The fund, raised by auxiliary card parties, also offered two scholarships last year and is open to post graduate nurses.

Four More Firms Are Incorporated in Montana

Four more firms filed incorporation papers in Montana. Whiteside Livestock Co. of Rock Springs with $150,000 authorized capital stock lists Carl Whiteside and Margaret Whiteside and Mary Margaret Singleton as directors. Flying Club of Valier, a non profit, lists John Crawford James Geiger Dean Gillette Rich Goff Stuart Whitcomb Bob Kincaid and Vernon Arness as directors. Teton Implement Co. of Fairfield has $50,000 authorized capitalization with J S Hamilton Tyrone NM R A Cleveland Fairfield and Ray Wager Simms as directors. MK Bar Ranch Co. of Rudyard shows $250,000 authorized capitalization with Janice C and C J Mikulecky as directors.

Duplicate Bridge Results From The Butte Group

The Butte duplicate bridge master point game Tuesday with five and a half tables saw wives teams take top placements. In north-south Thursday, top pair was Mrs William Elford and Mrs S C DeMers, followed by Mrs Elderkin and Mrs Dubie and Mrs Phil Henne with Mrs Leo Carter. East-west winners were Dr and Mrs Robert Thomett first, Mr and Mrs John Schmidt second, and Mr and Mrs Henry Amos third.
