Missoula Judge Found Dead in Courthouse Chamber
Missoula Montana December 6 court attaches discovered the body of Judge Lentz in his Missoula county courthouse chamber. The 61 year old jurist died from a self inflicted gunshot wound with a 22 caliber pistol. The revolver lay nearby and a confession note stained with his blood was found on the wall. Judge Lentz, born October 28 1874 in Williamson County Illinois, studied at Valparaiso and the University of Michigan before moving to Montana in 1908. He practiced at Glendive and served as county attorney there. He had lived in Missoula for many years and was active in Masonry. He was married to Ruth Hunter of Glendive. they had a son and two daughters.
