Deer Lodge Man Hurt In South Buffalo Wreck
Gary Dee Parks 21 of Deer Lodge suffered jaw and facial injuries in a Sunday night head on crash 22 miles south of Buffalo on U S 87. He was flown to Billings and underwent surgery after being treated at Johnson County Hospital. Antoine Ogharcabal 33 of Buffalo, driver of the southbound car, had a broken leg and remained hospitalized.

Vonda Recell Kinney two years old of Ira A. and wife Kinney of Butte died at St. James Community Hospital from inhaling fumes from an old auto battery casing used to bank a stove. Two siblings were overcome but improving. The city physician called it the first death in Butte from burning battery casings.
